MEDIUM DUTY EXPANSION & LAG SCREW ANCHORS
Single & Double Expansion Anchors - Concrete, brick or stone. Expansion anchors are used in soft masonry and in materials of questionable strength with machine screws or machine bolts that are exposed to vibration or side pressure. Made of zinc alloy, expansion anchors are rustproof. The screw or bolt can be removed from the anchor if necessary and replaced while maintaining holding power. Double expansion anchors have two ends that, when expanded, hold in place using the full length of the anchor body.
Lag Screw Anchors - Concrete, masonry, mortar joint, and brick. Lag shields are used for light to medium duty applications. These anchors are made of rustproof zinc alloy and designed for use with a lag screw. The screw length should equal the sum of the thickness of the item to be fastened, the length of the anchor, and another 1/4” in order for the tip to protrude from the bottom of the shield after expansion. A shorter lag shield is recommended in harder concrete to minimize drilling time. For softer masonry, long shields offer optimum holding power.
